Take a peek at what a would-be season 10 of The Office could look like, check out my first historical fiction novel, + get lost in some short stories inspired by craft beer labels.

Nick is a Chicago-native storyteller. He's been writing since his youth, from crafting homemade greeting cards to devoting far too much time on TV-related forums, spilling theories on Sci-Fi show A or B. This passion pointed to a life destined for the written word, so he set out to professionally pursue that path.

Life eventually dropped him off at a marketing agency after college. He's spent over five years storytelling for a variety of brands (with a specific focus on social media copywriting), further helping him perfect this forever-imperfect craft.

He's a firm believer that the pursuit of one's aspirations doesn't have to come at the cost of abandoning the familiar. His first project took over two years of researching, outlining, writing, editing and more editing (that last part with the help of friends, family and a few professionals) before it was complete. At the same time, he's balanced a full-time job as well as life as a dog-daddy, the latter of which is alongside his supportive fiancée.

This concoction of passion, experience and commitment collided to form his first novel, PIER 33, a work of historical fiction inspired by real-life events at the infamous U.S.P. Alcatraz. It also inspired a fan-fiction season 10 of the hit sitcom The Office, a fun project that takes a look at what our favorite coworkers may be up to seven-plus years after the original finale.

You may ask: what's next? He's currently working on his next novel. In the meantime, you can follow his blog as well as his Instagram, @SeeNickWrite.

About PIER 33

PIER 33  is a tale of family and fate following Michael and Robb Field, two brothers who could not be more unalike.

Michael, the eldest, views life with a particularly critical lens. He has always felt like the black sheep of society, wishing nothing more than to break free of the routine that paralyzes the rest of humanity.

Robb, on the other hand, is content in all the ways Michael is not. A million-dollar home, promising career and loving family provide the stability that was missing in his youth as the Field family's adopted son.

Upon taking a mutually dreaded trip to tour Alcatraz Island, the two soon find themselves battling much more than life's daily ups and downs. The former prison is at the core of these new conflicts as Michael is flung back in time, witnessing firsthand many of the historical events and characters that shaped the prison’s infamous reputation. Meanwhile, Robb is left to deal with the consequences of his missing, estranged brother.

Is it reality . . . or is it all just a distant dream?
